Jibun (自分) is a Japanese word that translates as “I”, but it carries more than just a definition of yourself. It is not so much about a person, but about who you become when you are left alone.

This is an autobiographical project - an attempt to explore identity through loss and the search for light within yourself.

First there was “Hikarishi” - a bright childish light that casts a shadow without noticing it. But over time comes “Kagefumi” - a game where a child steps on his own shadow until it swallows him completely.

And now everything has plunged into darkness and I have to either find that light or learn to see in the darkness.
